Total Home Watch is a professional home watch service designed to provide home owners with a reliable and affordable way to keep their home safe and sound while they are away. We will create a customized checklist and schedule, with your wants and needs, to ensure your home and valuables are secure and safe. Each visit is documented, and a report generated for homeowners as proof that you have maintained the requirements for your home and property insurance coverage. If any problems do arise, we will promptly notify you and support you to contain and manage the situation.
Your home is one of your most valuable assets and contains your most important possessions. Allowing neighbours, friends and family to look over these assets while you are away could be costly and place them in an undesirable situation. Total Home Watch is professionally trained and insured. We have the knowledge and the tools to monitor your home and maintain your property so you return to your home as it was with no surprises. Total Home Watch also provides services for real-estate agents with vacant listings and Airbnb owners that require help maintaining or servicing a property that they just can't get to.

Rick and Leanne Phillips are the owners and operators of Total Home Watch Services. Rick is a lifelong resident of Rockwood and Leanne, originally from Acton, moved to Rockwood in 2003 where they married and raised 2 children.
Rick has been employed at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada for 30 years where he is currently Manager of Lexus Materials Handling. He is also a trained and certified home inspector and a member of the North American Association of Home Inspectors.
Leanne has been employed with Rockwool in Milton since 2014 where she is currently the North American Transportation Supervisor-Operation Support.
Together they are dedicated to providing a professional, trustworthy and affordable home watch service for the communities in Wellington County and Halton Hills.

THW Inspections

*Onsite visits (usually 48-72 hours) based on the requirements of your insurance policy or your needs. *Multipoint inspection of the home interior looking for obvious issues. *Multipoint inspection of the home exterior and property looking for obvious issues. *Documented reports as proof for insurance if ever needed. *Remove newspaper and collect mail.

We received regular reports, emailed to us, keeping us apprised of everything including our cat who was home alone. Lights were rotated, snow was cleared when we got back, all utilities were checked. Why use a home watch service?

When considering who you would like to watch your home while you are away, you may find yourself thinking, "why pay for a service when I can have my neighbour or family member stop in to check my house?" But what if...
What if a serious problem arises? Would they know how to deal with it safely and quickly? Would they know what to look for or how to identify certain problems? Can they provide proof to insurance of their visits should a claim be needed? Faulty electrical, failed appliances, plumbing leaks, pests, thieves, squatters and storm damage are all realistic concerns.
What if someone is in the house when they arrive? Would they be prepared for this situation and know how to react? Would they be able to identify entry points by both pests and humans?
Friends and family would almost never say no if you ask them to watch your home, but this can be an added burden and a big responsibility for already busy people. Your home and your possessions are of extreme importance and value. Limiting the risk of damage and theft while you are away is our top priority.

How much does the home watch service cost

Basic home watch starts at $30/visit

Your location, visit frequency and the services you select will determine the cost. Other factors such as the size of the house and property, number of additional buildings to be checked will affect the price.

How often would you come to my home?

The frequency of visits is determined by you. Prior to you leaving we will work out a schedule that meets your needs and budget.

What happens if you find something wrong

You will be contacted immediately and informed of the problem. We will support and follow your instructions to ensure the problem is contained and resolved.
